Philippe Kruchten wrote a very complimentary review of Software Architecture: Organizational Principles and Patterns in the February 2002 issue of The Rational Edge e-zine.

JavaRanch.com published a review of Software Architecture: Organizational Principles and Practices in November 2001. I'm pleased to say they really liked it. They rated it a 10 out of 10. You can read the review for yourself on their reviews page there.

There was also a mention of the book in the Spring 2002 issue of Virginia Tech Magazine and the Summer 2001 issue of the Binghamton Alumni Journal. [Note: the issue is a 5Mb PDF file.]

We have seen some reader reviews at some of the online bookstores (with the average customer review rating as of January 21st 2003.).

  • Amazon (4.5 out of 5) -- Amazon also has the largest number of reader reviews -- 6 at last count.
  • Borders [Same content as Amazon]
  • Amazon UK site has different reviews than the US site. (4 out of 5) -- There is a review there from a Top 500 Reviewer
  • Bookpool (5 out of 5)
The last time we checked, there was not yet a review on the Barnes and Noble site. There had been a customer review and a 5 out of 5 rating at Fatbrain, but that content appears to have been lost as part of the their consolidation with the Barnes and Noble site.

If there is a web site or review that you are aware of that does not appear here, please tell us about it.
