Organisational Patterns for Software Architecture
Software Architecture 2002, February 27, 2002
by David Kane

Abstract: The behaviour of an organisation can have a tremendous impact on the success of a software architecture. Applying the practices used by one organisation to face this challenge in another can be treacherous, because many practices are only appropriate for some contexts. However, patterns provide a useful solution to this problem by describing solutions to recurring problems with enough context information, so that users can apply them in situations where they make sense.

Patterns presented:

  • Rotation
  • Drop Pass
  • Architecture Review
  • No Surprises
  • Whirlpool Watch
